Ohana was officially born defying superstition - on the 17th - Novara’s gelid winter - in December - and the imponderable: in 2020!
The name of our association was chosen because of its deep significance, in fact:
“Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten”
This ideal is the base of our newborn organization, which draws inspiration from various cultures and religions. In Ohana, difference is a unique value that is meant to be preserved and developed.
We are a small group of friends - all volunteers and unpaid - which really cares about all aspects of its work - in terms of project, investment and result- and about its cooperations, which allow us today to concentrate our efforts both on local territory and in foreign countries - such as Greece, Turkey, Syria and Afghanistan - with education and job placement projects and also with art support projects with the goal of communicating, denouncing and, sometimes, serving as therapy.
